According to Connecticut law, when you file a wrongful death claim after your loved one’s passing, you are entitled to seek monetary damages for medical and funeral expenses.
But what does that mean exactly? You can seek damages for:
- Any costs related to ambulance, emergency care, surgical care, and medication surrounding the event of your loved one’s death.
- Any costs related to the transport, sheltering of the remains, cemetery arrangements, crematory arrangements, and obtaining copies of the death certificate.
An experienced and knowledgeable attorney will be able to help you prepare your wrongful death claim.
This is the second in a six part series on wrongful death damages in Connecticut.
