This App Helps You Avoid A Connecticut Auto Accident

We spend a lot of time talking about how your mobile phone can be a distraction to your driving and may cause a Connecticut auto accident, and while that still remains true, there is now a reason to connect your phone to your car (not USE it while driving.)

The United States Department of Transportation National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) recently launched a new app called SaferCar.  This app, which is available on iOs and Android devices will help keep you notified of safety recalls for your vehicle.  Just simply share the make and model of your vehicle and the app will run in the background to update you if there are any recalls or safety issues that you should know about with your car.

The app does not store any of your personal data and it uses the already in place NHTSA website portal to pull data about your particular vehicle so the administration will have no access to your personal information.

Park information about your vehicle, tires, car seats, and other equipment in your virtual garage and each day the app will go out, in the background of your device, and look for recalls to ensure that you are up to date with everything about your particular car.  This will also enable you to find a way to get the repairs that are necessary done in a more timely manner.

Staying up to date on any recalls that occur with your vehicle or mechanicals of your equipment is one of the best ways you can avoid a Connecticut auto accident.  Downloading this app will ensure that you never miss an opportunity to keep yourself and your loved ones safe.
