Not All Hospital Injuries Are Medical Malpractice

A recent story out of Hartford’s St. Francis Hospital reported that an electrical problem in the emergency room caused several patients to be moved from the area. Thankfully there was no fire and no one was injured, however, this type of electrical malfunction could have led to more serious injuries, including, but not limited to:
- Smoke inhalation with damage to the lungs and nasal passages, that caused permanent injury
- Improper monitoring of the patient during transport and at the new location that caused injury, including death
- Failure to have the proper medical equipment and staff to treat patients in distress outside of the emergency room
If you or a loved one was permanently injured as the result of a special event at a hospital or outpatient surgical facility, call our office immediately. Our doctor/attorney Robert Messey and nurse/attorney Gayle Sullivan will begin a medical and legal investigation into your case.
