Avoid An Auto Accident at a Connecticut Roundabout

Roundabout, rotaries, traffic circles – they all refer to the same method of moving traffic: motor vehicles driving around a landscaped center with offshoot “exits.” It’s no wondering Connecticut auto accidents occur on these roadways. If you find yourself on a rotary, traffic circle or roundabout, follow these tips to maneuver them safely.
- As you approach the traffic circle, you will see plenty of yield signs. Make sure you yield to bicyclists and other pedestrians on the road.
- When entering, yield to traffic on the left, only stop if traffic is coming.
- Follow the one way signs on the roundabout.
- Left turns are completed by traveling around the traffic circle and making a right exit.
