Whether you are a motor vehicle operator or a pedestrian, here are ways you can stay safe:
- Obey crosswalks. The NHTSA reports that 70% of pedestrian deaths were not at intersections.
- Be careful in cities. Three in four deaths were reported in urban areas. Follow walk signals and be mindful of vehicles.
