Connecticut Auto Accident & Teenage Driver SmartPhone Apps
As we approach the 100 Deadliest Days, the time between Memorial Day and Labor Day, newly licensed teen drivers are three times more likely to be involved in a fatal crash compared to licensed adults. Additionally, drivers ages 16-17 are 4.5 times more likely than those drivers who are over 18 years old to be in a Connecticut auto accident.
Teen drivers are 15% more likely to be involved in a deadly crash during this time period. Over 1,600 people have lost their lives in an auto accident with a teen driver over a five year span of time.
There are some apps available to people who wish to monitor driving behavior like Life360, AT&T’s DriveMode, and EverDrive.
