The U.S. News & World Report released its ranking of hospitals nationally. Yale-New Haven Hospital ranked nationally in eight of ten children’s sub-specialties. For a national ranking, a hospital must excel in caring for the most complex and sickest patients. YNHH was ranked in the following areas:
- Pediatric diabetes and endocrinology: 4th nationally
- Pediatric cancer: 28th nationally
- Neonatology: 29th nationally
- Pediatric gastroenterology & GI surgeries: 32nd nationally
- Pediatric neurology & neurosurgery: 38th nationally
- Pediatric pulmonology: 39th nationally
- Pediatric cardiology & heart surgery: 42nd nationally
- Pediatric urology: 45th nationally
