These are rather extraordinary times we are in. COVID-19 and executive orders put in place by our federal, state, and local governments are a change for us to curb the spread of this virus. Some workers are deemed essential including those who work in healthcare. Here are six ways you can help them.
- Stay home. We have been ordered to stay home unless we need to go out for essentials. Make sure you follow this to prevent the virus from spreading..
- Wash your hands for 20 seconds or longer. Make sure you are washing your hands for at least 20 seconds to keep yourself and others healthy.
- Allow for 6 feet of distance between yourself and others.
- Make masks. If you are crafty and have supplies, many healthcare facilities are accepting donations of medical equipment.
- Send them a meal. Healthcare workers are tired and stressed after a long day at work in these stressful times. Send them a meal from their favorite restaurant or drop something on their doorstep.
- Send them a text or make a phone call. While we need to remain physically distant, our social needs have never been greater. Reach out to the healthcare workers in your life and tell them you appreciate them.
Make sure you are practicing habits that keep you safe while supporting your friends and family. The attorneys and staff at McEnery Price Messey & Sullivan wish you and your family good health.
